    And then there were three!

Eeee...I've been having the third bike itch for a while now since the weather's finally starting to be nice most of the time. So, today I added to my family of two! I wanted a bike that I could just get on and ride without feeling like I needed all my gear or without feeling like I was training. I love my road bike but every time I'm on her, I feel like I'm training, and I get competitive with myself. Also, any addict knows that you can't just have one bike for everything! So, now I'm the proud owner of an Orbea, a Gary Fisher, and a JAMIS!!!

I don't have any pics of my babies yet, but I promise I'll get them asap! Here's the stock of 'James'...what'd ya think?

I took him on a short 8 miler just a little while ago to get the feel of him...have to change that saddle...too soft! My DH thinks I'm totally insane for having three different bikes for three different activities...bwa ha ha!

Seeing your beautiful new bike stirs desires to buy one myself

It's a beauty! Congratulations! Just in time for spring

I think TE forums is more encouraging to buy another bike (regardless of how many you already have) than anything else I can stay out of the bike shops to keep myself from making a bike purchase but I can't resist looking at the pictures of new bikes!

I wonder if there were fewer kinds of bikes we would be less inclined to have (or want) as many...

    Congrats on your new bike!!

I've got the itch, too! I have a perfectly good Trek 2.3 WSD and was in the LBS on Sunday drooling over the Madrone. I need another bike like a hole in the head and it took every bit of my will power to walk out of there without another bike.

Congrats on your new wheels! It will be great to see the pics when you get them. Don't worry, I now have many in my stable. I NEVER thought that would happen. The variety is great though.

It's the Citizen 3. I'm sure my stable will keep getting larger, too. I'm actually watching out for a mixte when I go to flea markets and the like, so maybe one will join my little clan, too!

I'm a regular nut job - I have three different bikes for the SAME activity! (Plus a few more for othe activities...).

The optimal number of bikes to own is one more than you currently have . And that's a nice add to your stable!

    I love the color.

I've got a Jamis Coda that I use for bike commuting. They make great bikes that are well spec'ed for the price.

I have three bikes, and I do love the Queen of the bunch, my black beauty Trek 5200. And yet, ... I drooled over Bicyling mag's recent Buyer's Guide addition and I do lust after the Madonne and the Specialized Roubaix.

    Must resist, must resist.....

    I also have three bikes:
Specialized Sequoia Elite, my relaxed geometry road bike (my first "real" bike)
Specialized Allez Comp, my racy bike
Jamis Coda Comp, my commuter and trail bike

I'd love to add a mtb and a tri bike

That bike looks so relaxing to ride. I'll bet it forces you to take it easy and enjoy the ride.

Yep! I've been trying for a couple of weeks now to get the confidence to stand up while tackling a hill on my road bike (Orbea Onix), but I quickly pop back down because the bike is so light I'm afraid I'm going to fall off or something equally stupid. However, on this guy I was blasting down hills and standing up all while actually paying attention to things on the sides of the road instead of what was in front of me. Awwwww....can't wait for this stupid week long rain jag that is predicted to start tomorrow to be OVER before it starts !
