Sister Madonna Buder "The Running Nun!"
You've heard of the "Flying Nun." Now, how about the "Running Nun!" Well renowned endurance athlete Sister Madonna Buder will be our official guest at Seroogy's Valentine 5K & 15K Run/Walk on Feb. 7 at 8 am.

Who is Sister Madonna Buder? She is a Roman Catholic nun who resides in Spokane, WA. She has completed over 200 triathlons and 13 Ironman Triathlons. At the 2006 Hawaii Ironman, age 76, she became the oldest woman to ever complete the race.

Sister Buder will also speak about her career and passion for staying active on Sunday, February 8 at Kaukauna High School at 1 pm. This event is free to the public.

**Sister Buder is sponsored by the Fox Tri Club.

I wasn't going to do this run since I just started jogging again, but I may have to go over and see her anyway - anyone want to meet me there??

I would LOVE to go see her!! Not only do I admire her athletic prowess, as a Catholic, I admire her decision to answer the calling to be a nun. I'm sure she will be a great speaker. I'm very envious!

I've seen her run at IM Canada. She was my inspiration to do my first triathlon. What an amazing woman!

I would love to see her and to meet her. Two of my aunts got "the calling" and became sisters, so I have a special place in my heart for sisters.

    Sr. Madonna is an inspiration.
