What cycling related gifts did you get for Christmas?

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. was wondering how many of us got something cycling related in our parcels.
My son bought me pink hanle bar tape for my Trek
He even put on for me this afternoon. How's that for efficiency?

My kids gave me Gore Tool gloves (winter, windstopper gloves), Gore ride on cables, and new Craftman toolbox. They know the way to my heart. Actually I ordered the two Gore products and had my ex pay for them. The toolbox was my choice for the third gift. I also received a new Mountain Hardware Transition Zip-T top - this is my favorite wind top for the winter time.

Well, I didn't get anything specifically cycling. But, for once after years of trying to tell my DMIL that I needed no more kitchen duplicate stuff to please just get me a gift card for some gear.

She didn't go the main store that carries it, but a close second to a sporting goods store with at least a small cycling section. Compared to a three way cutting board, I'd consider that a major upgrade.

I somehow became 5 years old again and let a vocal cry of joy "YES!!!"... it was almost a bit embarrassing (since I KNOW she really really wanted to get that cutting board).

I got a Terry jersey, 2 pairs of Sock guy socks (the husky and the igloo styles), Frog cleats, and Chat Noir jersey.

Bike wise I got an iPod shuffle in purple to match my bianchi. When inside a car-free section of the park I ride her with 1 earbud in. Guilty pleasures. Then my grandparents gave me $ towards the gorgeous Zipp crankset I bought yesterday for my soon-to-be assembled Look 585.

I also GAVE a pair of PI cycling shorts to my dad, and matching pairs of PI microsensor headbands to my aunt and uncle, all of whom are also cyclists.

Oh, and the best cycling gift I got was getting to ride this morning (45+ degrees, partly cloudy, zero wind) with my dad in the BEAUTIFUL Texas hill country. Definitely the best gift of all.

I got a Garmin Edge 205 and a Wheelsmith tensiometer. I also had the gift of a ride with my honey in a deserted Boston. No cars or even other cyclists. It was a bit surreal. Hope everyone had a good time.

I asked for no gifts this Christmas (had to replace the furnace & ac in August, so I want to replenish that big chunk of change).

DH didn't listen but showed restraint. Santa brought me a wool PI jersey and a PI winter biking jacket. He' agreed to return the latter because I have way too many winter cycling jackets.

The weather here was glorious yesterday - warm and sunny. This was a treat because December had ONLY three days that were clear, and the month was colder than usual, with lots of rain. We ended up taking a long walk in the city, along the Potomac. I made up for it by eating a lot of the cookies I made and several handfuls of chocolate-covered pretzels.....

Nothing cycling specific, but my BIL got me a gift card to "The Runner," and my in-laws gave me some money. It will most certainly be spent on something bike related. We're moving in the right direction with the family...

I find it amusing that you underlined Christ in Christmas but really wanted to talk about getting presents.

For me this season is about a glimmer of excitement that the days are getting longer again (even though I can't tell yet) and an opportunity to be all festive with the family. Last night after a great dinner we pulled taffy GOOD GRIEF WHAT A MESS. I have no idea if the taffy was ever "right" or finished. I also had a lot of time over the last two days to meditate about the relative goodness of having a white christmas, because boy, we had one. Whoever thought up the idea that a white christmas was a wonderful glorious idea lived in a time when relatives didn't pile into cars or stack up in airports for the pleasure of seeing each other. And we truly had a wonderful glorious beautiful white christmas complete with all the added tension, stress, and aggravations a metropolitan area covered in snow can produce..
