    What's on your Christmas list?

What's on your Christmas list - for you and what do you plan to buy your SO?

I don't need anything. For the bike - bicycle, I would like a trunk bag and rack - but this is something I am going to get myself. For my other bike - motorcycle, I would like a rainsuit. For DGF, I would like to get her one of the new Ipod Nanos and a motorcycle rainsuit. Maybe just a few odds and ends.

We have decided to give what we would normally spend on each other to charity this year - and just give each other “stocking stuffers”! We have everything we need and this year is especially rough on the food banks and organizations that help the needy. We normally support several, but decided to do more this year.

Well, I just spontaneously bought myself an early Christmas present...an iPhone.

While setting it up, Silver figured out that I bought her a Silver iShuffle that she wanted...so I told SilverSon to go down to the car and get it for her.

    Christmas in November!

We are just doing stockings probably about $100. I hope CDs (yes I still listen to them) and maybe small bike stuff is in mine. DH will get bike tools and maybe some socks. Although I am considering getting him some Tifosis he wants.

Don't know what we will do for Christmas this year. Actually we had a plan for 'cycling' gifts: my boyfriend has been saying that he wants a new tt bike, and I wanted to retrofit my steel bike for travel - so that was kind of the idea for Xmas.
    But that was before Ike.
Now things have changed, especially since I have been displaced for a while (and I'm spending a lot of extra because of that), and need to find a new house. So right now we are thinking that we should avoid huge unnecessary expenses. We may decide to book a short vacation trip during the Christmas holidays, and make that our Xmas gift to each other.

Have anything that's been MIA in the house/closet for a while? Look for the other's "whatever", wrap it up, and put it under the tree as a surprise.

Poor DH has given up on surprises. One of the worst accidental surprise wreckers involved a beautiful solid oak wooden bench. DH bought it unstained and was going to do all the finish work for me to match the rest of the house etc.

But, he was really lacking a hiding spot. Sooo... as he was sweating profusely standing on a step ladder trying to slid it up into the garage attic opening... I put up the garage door arriving home. Oh my, the look on that poor man's face to see me!

I pointed out a jersey and some cute socks on TE to my DH the other day. (A not so subtle hint.) Hope I get them!
