    New bike!!! I did it!!!

Well, i did it. As I posted last week, I tried the Cannondale t800. Tried 6 others since. Took the t800 on a 10 mile test ride today. Still loved it best and bought it. I know that it isn't the prettiest, most popular bike, but I love it. Her name is Quinn after a character in one my favorite book. I am going to get a new saddle and clipless pedals eventually, but she is ride ready.

Haha!!! It's weird, but she reminds me of that character and that character rides a bike and it just...fit. It was instantaneous. LOL.

Nice bike. Is it a cyclocross bike?

My bike got a name last weekend. Sheila. It just evolved to that in a conversation I had with my son, that arose because the bike's handlebars were tilted down to make them fit in the back of the car. I call my husband's bike Frank (for Frankenbike) and so now we have Frank and Sheila, and their son, John (because it's a John Deere).

No, it's not a cyclocross, it's actually a touring bike but she is so sweet! Hmm...I'm sitting here staring at her right now. I'm in love! Oh, she is so sweet and such a wonderful ride. Hmmm...Wow! I still can't believe it.

Great! Did you get it in your town or did you travel to another city? Great choice. I love the color!

my thoughts are that a touring bike is more stable than a cyclocross bike.

what is the book? don't tell me it is about Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman.

That's a good looking bike, you're lucky to be able to fit two water cages.

    Is it all black?
what kind of handlebars are those?

Congrats on your new bike! I would've loved to find a t800 when I was shopping for a touring bike (well, I could've found one, but I couldn't buy new). Not only do you have 2 cages, you have a third available on the downtube. Pretty sweet for those long, hot summer rides. Congrats on Quinn. I'm excited for you!!!

    Mighty Quinn!

She's lovely! The dark blue is GREAT! She looks like she's yearning for some road/trail time!

    Thanks everybody!
Tulip: I did buy it here in town, the better of the two bike shops here had it and Andy was great!!! And he did knock down the price another $100 so I was really happy!

He threw the two water bottle cages and bottles in for free! I was happy about that.

Zen: She is actually dark blue with black lettering. The color is called mariner blue. As far as the handlebars go, the handle bars are Cinelli Vai and the headset is Cane Creek S-1. The full specs for it can be found at http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...5966&Type=bike

Madscott: The story is by Radclyffe "Fated Love" one of the main characters is named Quinn. She's my favorite of all of Radclyffe's characters. I can't really explain without sounding really stupid but suffice to say that she is my favorite. If you wanna know the rest, I'll email or send you a PM. Thanks so much for the encouragment!!

    Thanks everybody, you all ROCK!!!
