YAY! Figured it out . . . just kept shrinking it down over and over and over and over until I finally got it to the correct size. Thanks!

And here are my babies, Snoopy and Lucy. Snoopy turned six on the 5th of this month, and Lucy turns six on the 17th of this month. I took the photo in June at the Mendocino headlands.

Usually you set max height and/or max width in pixels. When I'm downsizing photos I usually resize to max height 550 pixels (width automatic). That means I can see the entire photo on screen in my browser without having to scroll in any direction. To add photos to TE I make them smaller because the available space is less with the menus and whatnot, max height 300 pixels or so seems to work fine. If you right-click on any photo here you can see how many pixels they are each way.

If the file size is still too big (ie. above 195 Kb) you can either downsize them a bit more, or store in a different format, .gif files seem to take less space than .jpg.

Edit: I see you got it :-) Lovely dogs!

Here are my kittens. Thanks to Lisa for camera advice!

On the left is Eddy, my new guy, who is about 3 months old. He's 1/2 monster, 1/2 sweetest thing in the world. This shot is blurry, because every shot of him awake is blurry. He doesn't stop moving. Ever.

The black and white lady is Trixie. She's looking a little mad because she thinks Eddy is 100% monster. She's 16 and on chemo, but doing really well.

I'm so lucky to have them.

I always love checking on the new pets in this thread... They are all great. CrazyCanuck, your doggie is sooooooo special. Look at that sweet face! Something in the expression seems similar to my Hudson.

Elk- I love your Papillions!! I think they are the cutest little things but my husband says they "freak him out". He is also freaked out by poodles, hates the curly hair to the point he said I couldn't have a poodle.

amanda...papillons, i have decided, are not really dogs....they are either:

    a. a cross between a border collie and a cat
    b. aliens in silky dog suits

I have a curly dog hair problem too....i love poodles, but their coats dont turn me on...
