164.5 this morning. all the weight I lost this challenge was lost in the first week! Typical of me -- I get revved up over something new and start with a bang, then nothing. But hey, I weigh less now than I did at the beginning, and that is better than the altneratives, right?

count me in for the next challenge.

159.3, up .9 from last week, down 1.3 since the start ()... Since almost no one is riding in the smoky hazy air here in Nor Cal, I'm just glad I didn't gain it all back! I think the trick for me is to focus ... but anywho, I'm in if there's another challenge.

Thanks GLC1968 for the weekly posting!

    Cheers!

    Talking Rah-rah-ziss-boom-bah

    OK Ladies!!!

What do we do when we fall off our bikes .... (we can't hide it, we all have) ... but what do we do??

We jump right back on and pedal, pedal, pedal!!

One or two days off for the fair, scrapbooking, vacation, relatives in town, bad day or any other distraction can't keep us on the ground or off our bikes! So a small set back is in the past, get back on the better eating habit routine and just pedal, pedal, pedal!!

To lose one pound, a person must burn 3,500 calories more than are consumed (500 calories per day over the course of a week). For example, reducing calories by 300 per day and increasing daily activity to burn off an additional 200 calories should result in a weight loss of one pound per week.

A new challenge rolls on Tuesday ...

    I'm ready, lets go!

    190 final count

Count me in too. I am just glad to be away from that 200 number. I am not losing right now but this challenge keeps me focused. It's hard to believe June is gone. Wow. I'm fitting in jeans that should fit me when I'm 180 so I'm not that crazy feeling about the number.

My allergies are killing me right now and I don't like to take medication for it. I was going to ride this a.m. but one ear is plugged and I feel horrible. UGH.

    See ya all next round!

I know I've not been participating in this...but I'm excited....I'm nearly down to 160! With my miles up, I'm eating voraciously...but it's what I'm eating that's making the difference.

I'm feeling more and more lean with time too.

I'm 5'6", so I could still stand to lose 20 pounds to be considered lean.

I love it even if it's not on dirt, I guess it'll do
Hey, Tahoe, great job on your challenge success! Slow and steady is the best way to go! I find it gives my body time to adjust and gives me more acceptance of the dietary changes that I can actually learn to maintain.

Good job, see you in the next challenge!

Can I join in the next time? When will it be?

I need something to motivate me and make me accountable. I didn't join this one cause it had already started and I figured I would wait for the next one.

So I guess I should just watch this thread for the next challange huh?

Congratulations to you all for your hard work!!!

Final weight was not as good as I had hoped, but I am down to 206.5. Could be worse. At least I am down from my starting weight so it is a small step in the right direction. And I will keep going for the July/August challenge.

    Hey Everyone!

Here it is...the final chart of our challenge. First though...a few stats:

    1) Lynette ended up not only being the only person to reach her goal, but she also posted the highest % of total starting weight lost at 4.56%! Excellent work!

    2) Coming in second in % of body weight lost (by a very narrow margin) but FIRST FOR THE MOST LBS LOST...was Possegal with a whopping 8.4 lbs lost. Impressive!!

All in all, the whole group lost a total of 65.8 lbs!!

The only negative stat is that of the 32 people who signed up for this challenge, only 18 of us posted a final weigh in. That's only a 56% finishing rate, people! Let's try and do better next month, ok?

All in all, a very impressive effort was made by all. Congratulations!!
