Who else is racing this weekend?

I know that Wahine has a big race this w/e. I am going to give my first Xterra for the season a whirl. I had planned on this race being my third for the season, but my injuries this winter set me back almost 4 months.

I am not sure if I am ready, but what the heck....

Good Luck Wahine and anybody else racing this w/e.

    change of plans already

Well, the weather is forecasting bad storms this w/e, and that coupled with a 400 mile drive each way has made me change my plans for racing this w/e. I am going to do a mt bike race locally instead.

Oh well, there will be another day!

    Good Luck to everyone!

Darn about your race RnR. But I can certainly see how it's a better choice to scratch it. This season has not been cooperating with you very well has it?

Teigyr is racing this weekend as well. She's doing a sprint in Seattle.

Well, Yoda, my mt bike races have been going well, it is just the xterra schedule.
All of the races that are " in my region" that allow me to participate in the series are 400-500 miles away. So it requires a stay of at least one night, gas...good lordy the gas, and registration. So each race will cost about......400 dollars to compete in. For a two hour race. Yikes!

So I am looking at the local sprint tri schedule and there are tons of those locally, so I think I will keep racing mt bikes for the team and maybe do a few road sprints. I am really enjoying racing with the team a lot.

It is all good, at least I am moving and feeling ok....

I'm doing a "short olympic" this weekend. Lake Padden, Bellingham.
It's 1/2 mi swim, 21 mile bike and 5.2 mile run.

Got in the full swim and then a 1/4 m cool down at the lake today -- it went pretty well. Then biked 10 miles, just to test part of the route. I'm feeling much better now than I was a few days ago about doing this. Mine starts at 8am, so I'll be done before it hits 80 degrees this Saturday!

So good luck to all of us! Rock-n-Roll... sorry about your race. Hope you find something good to do soon.
