    converting a chamois-less skort

I have a couple early model Terry chamois-less skorts that I bought to wear in the gym. I'd like to wear them on the road bike and ordered the Craft boy short with chamois. The chamois is a little too thin and decided to save it for when I mtb in the skort. I then tried one of the Terry liners that came with my mtb shorts and I ended up with the double sausage leg. The chamois was the right thickness, but the liner short was a little too long for the short in the skort. I felt like I had an extra support girdle on. I don't want to sew a chamois into the skort as I'd like to preserve the original design. Is there something else with a thicker chamois than the Craft thingy?

PS, I finally got back into a skort that I had tucked away.
