I think the wolf spiders make good company. I have some large ones that like to hang out in the garage. Here's a neat picture of one:

There was a spider in the bath the other day. I "convinced" it (with the help of a piece of toilet paper) to crawl under the storage door and, please, stay there for the duration of my shower. The bikes (in the storage) always enjoy company. But I'm too shy to allow a spider to see me naked in the shower!
In the fall when we have many in the place I just don't have the heart to put them outside. I just put them away from view.![]()

I have a rather hands-off approach to all critters with more than 4 legs.
If I see something that doesn't belong...I usually scream like a little girl until DH comes by and removes it (grumbling and complaining, and rolling his eyes the whole time). Depending on the season, it either goes out the front door or down the terlet. Strange to think I was a biologist. But then....fish don't have more than 4 legs. I can handle anything....as long as it doesn't have more than 4 legs!![]()
