Since March has been declared "getting back into the swing of stuff"months..I'm starting off on v good cleat..

After my 1hr swim this morning i ventured off on my bike..

I did my short 10km ride and have plans to do 3 more this week. Today's ride was wonderful as there was a nice breeze, noone around and my knee felt ok. As long as i don't try and sudden moves i'm ok.

My hubby and I set out for a 50 miler on our tandem. It didn't quite work out that way. First it was windy and very chilly and neither of us realized how cold it was. Then, I put my new saddle from my single on this bike to see if I needed to buy a second one. After stopping what seemed like a hundred times to make adjustments, my seat bolt snapped. My hubby was able to remove the broken piece after much patience and determination. Luckily we have a rear disc brake set up that we could steal a bolt from. Got the saddle back on and decided we had enough cold fun for the day. 27 miles ridden and I will order a second Selle An-atomica for my half of the tandem.

Sloshed in with 50 degrees and rain. Now it's cloudy and 32. I was kinda hoping to get extra miles in this week even if it was cold but they're calling for 1/8 to 1/2 in of freezing rain and then 4 inches of snow. Still hoping to hit 1000 by St. Patty's day, though!

First commute of the season in shorts! 70 degrees and a stiff tailwind. It was heaven!

    Happy Birthday to Meeeee!

Well, I didn't get to ride today, as I'm recovering from a hysterectomy (2 weeks ago today) but I'm cheerful anyway as I did get a birthday in.

The weather here was gorgeous this weekend but now a front is moving in, it's very windy and we may have tornado warnings tonight, but most certainly big storms.

Divingbiker, ain't spring in the South just grand! And early! Glad you got a ride in shorts. Warm weather and a stiff tailwind...great combo!

    Cheers,
    SWB

Had a very nice after-work ride with strong tailwinds and bright sunshine. Even did the big hill twice for a bit of extra hilltraining since I didn't get too cold coming down the hill. And I managed a 20 mile ride all in daylight!
