I grew up in the rain, and I'm so happy on those gray misty days! I like sun, too, but more than 3 days in a row of sun and I get agitated.

How funny! Me too. I start complaining when we have a straight week of sun. And I grew up in NY, where the summers are hot and humid. Pacific NW weather and I are positively MADE for each other. I love the weather here.

Being a true Washingtonian (the state!), I cannot take the heat... more than 70 and I'm by a fan and have a cool one in my hand!

I grew up in Central Alberta, but much prefer the PNW weather (Portland). Add me to that bouquet that wilts in the heat. I'm ok up to 80 if humid, up to 90 or 95 if dry. I don't like hot & humid. Sunny & cold is good but so is damp & mild.

Heat for me! I hate cold weather. We get it all in Missouri but I always prefer summer over winter.

I'm happy as long as I don't have to fight against the wind.

That said I currently don't do long rides if it's below -20 C. I'm planning to get some good winter tights and a balaclava at the end of season sales so that next year I can keep commuting year round. I don't mind the summer heat since I always have a bit of a breeze to cool me off.

I disntegrate in the heat, and I hate damp weather. I keep thinking all this damp winter weather we're having is just a minor glitch in the system, and we'll be back to dry and cold any day now. I'm afraid I'm wrong...

I don't like being outside in extreme heat (90-100 F, which it often gets to here), but 80s don't bother me much. So I don't like hot, and I definitely don't like it below 30 F, so that leaves me Misty and Mild, which are the exact conditions of the 8 lighthouse ride in Maine last year. I thought it would be miserable but it was actually quite nice, especially with the women I met who let me ride with them.

I really don't like any of those choices, but I chose mild and misty. 55 degrees is probably my favorite temperature; I like the 55-70 range. However, I don't like riding in rain or mistiness and I would not deliberately start a ride if it was raining. I ride in temperatures down to about 37, but it has to be sunny if it's that cold. I don't like extreme heat, either. It feels too hot to me when it gets above 82 or so. Now I have ridden up to about 98, but it really bothers me.

I didn't choose either....warm or even hot, beats out cold or wet damp weather for me. 70 degrees or above with sunshine and I am a happy rider

I like it cool and sunny. If it's hot, that means humidity and I start melting.

My brain said either, but my lungs voted sunny and hot. This winter I managed to experience an asthma attack caused by sucking in cold air. Not to be repeated, so now I'm waiting for warm weather to get back on my bike.

I can't find the link now, but recently Mo Bike Fed had a survey called "Are you a winter cyclist?" There were 2 questions. 1) What is the lowest temperature you are comfortable biking in? 2) How many times have you cycled in the past month?

The answers were all-or-none. Either 40F, or no lower limit for lowest temp. Either too many to count, or not at all for number of times on your bike in the last month.

Misty and 55 is fine - I will ride in that all day long. I used to ride in the 30 degree cold and sunny, but I just can't do it anymore as I have gotten older (have Renauds in my hands; arthritis in my back, and just no motivation to ride in the cold); I love hot, the hotter the better! But I don't live in high humidity country.
