    Happy holidays!

Christmas Eve, which is the big day here, and we're off in a few hours to do the whole family dinner thing with my in-laws.

Here's to all of you - the happy ones, the sad ones, the ones in love, the ones wishing they were, the ones basking in good health or healing a hurt, the ones nursing the sick, or missing the ones they've lost - may Christmas bring you all a touch of happiness, love and peace of mind.

And if not - post about it and we can commiserate.

LPH... thats a delightful thing to write
    Thank you

Although I live in NZ, my partner and I "do" Christmeas on the Eve also.
The children's grandparents came out for an evening meal, and low-key pressies (24 hours ago now - its the end of Christmas Day as I post).

This works well for all of us. They (our parents) can go to the various other arms of the family on the Day and we have our own personal "rule" on the Day - no travelling - we don't go (by car) anywhere on this Day. Its madness!

It was a mild pleasant evening, my father got to play with son's huntaway pup and to pat the pet calves. My dad is quite unwell, so yestreen was a lovely evening to have as family fun time - he may not be with us next Summer.

So we had a lovely day/evening.

And thankyou again, lph, those words are put together so well. Trust your evening went as well as you planned

    Arohanui to all

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

Yes, LPH, that was a very nice message. It is my first Christmas without either husband or parents, and it is very different. I am very blessed in my life...but these milestones during the sea changes of life can be a little hard. Merry Christmas to all...just as LPH said.

Yup, the first one is rocky, Starfish, but it gets better.

    Take care, all!
