THANK YOU SUSAN!! I used the coupon to order a craft rain jacket. I had ordered the showers pass elite from TE a while back, but it didn't fit me right and I had to return it. Then I ordered the PI vagabound II which I love, until temps fell into the 40s this week.... I was absolutely freezing in it on my thanksgiving day ride. I also had in the back of my mind that someday I would buy something that is truly water- and windproof in screaming yellow for touring, and with the added incentive of the $20 off coupon decided to go with the craft jacket. Its rated as warmer than the vagabound (thank you also for the great comparison chart), so I hope it will work for those rides in the 40s. Below 40 I don't ride (or at least not below 38), so I really just need something to take me a little lower than my vagabound, and of course something to take me through a true downpour. I have no regrets on the vagabound though, as in my mild climate having the highy breathable jacket/vest combo for the 50s-60s days is also essential.
I am so glad I didn't order a jacket on the terry sale. I was tempted to order the gore alpine jacket, but didn't like the color and lack of pit zips. In fact, they didn't have any visible waterproof jackets with pit zips so I decided to just wait until I found what I really wanted on sale. And here it was, on sale with a coupon! Let's just hope it fits. I am hopeful since I am between a small a medium, and usually like best Ms in items other people say run small since they tend to also fit me better in length.
Hapy shopping everyone. Tell us what you got!!
