    Thumbs up Roller

    Hello all,

I'm on the verge of buying a trainer (interval training is addicting!) and wanted to ask you ladies for your opinion. Everyone I have spoken with so far have immediatly said, "don't get a trainer - get rollers." While I know that rollers are excellent for pedal stroke, riding technique etc. etc. I can't - as of yet - actually ride the things. So my question is: how difficult is it to become comfortable riding rollers? Any advice on the learning process?
Also, while I know Kreitlers are the only way to go, I can't throw down 500 bucks right now. I've been looking at the Cyclops model...anyone have any experience with lower end brands/models, and are there any I should avoid?

    Thanks!

while I've never used them, I know a lot of folks who do.
    1. better for your balance and proprioceptive percetive skills.
    2. start in a doorway so you can put your hands out, a lot.!!

We have the Kurt Kinetic trainer. Thom and I both use it to do Spinervals tapes. We both really like it. The tapes give you a variety of workouts to do - sprints, hill work, recovery and technique. I've never used rollers. You can't simulate standing and climbing with them can you?
