I registered for the metric and was all excited....then I pulled a calf in a fitness class and had to miss a whole week. I had a choice to make. Since I already paid for 12 weeks of the class, I didn't want to train for the ride and compromise my ability to complete the class. So I'm not riding.

I hope it's a good time! I plan on doing it next year!

What a BUMMER! I understand completely - it seems like I stay injured these days. I'm only riding the 30 cause it took me a whole week to recover from 50 miles of the BDB I've only been riding since July - next fall I hope to be able to do more of the 50-60 mile stuff.

Ah, once I did the 50 BDB I just knew I could do the metric!

But not this year. Besides, now I've got some kind of stomach ailment at the moment that probably would have put me out of the running anyway.

Have a LOT of fun! I'm feeling envious!
