Are there any good roads for biking (ie, somewhat level and little traffic) in Carmel Valley near Mission Inn? A friend and I are planning to meet (it's about half way for each of us), and we'll bring our road bikes. Thanks in advance.

My suggestion would be to call a shop in the area and see if they can recommend any rides. Ask them to send you a map or recommend a map. I have done a few routes off of the Krebs Maps in the Santa Cruz area and the details seem to be pretty true.
Its mostly flat unless you go up into the valley, enjoy its a great time of year down there!!!

The folks who put on the Sea Otter Classic have, in years past, hosted a citizens road ride in that area during the races. They may be able to provide you with the routes they used. Bear in mind they will all start at Laguna Seca Raceway though.

    Try this link:

I would think you could find some routes through sites such as routeslip and map my ride as well.

    Good luck!
