I love spring, fills me full of energy and motivation! It's beautiful weather in central nsw, and even though we desperately need the rain, I love it! May as well enjoy the beautiful weather eh? the only other option is to get depressed about the lack of rain, which solves nothing!

I'm new to this site so hi to all the aussies. I'm also new to road riding and my goal is to do triathlon. Haven't done one yet, but will be sometime this year.

hey crazycanuck, i'm in central west nsw, not far from bathurst where they do the big car races... about 3 hours west of sydney.

i don't think we change our clocks till the end of october, but i think they want to change it next year to start of october, which i don't really like cause i have to get up early and i prefer getting up in the light!

yeah, it's pretty bad, not as bad as further west though. we used to get really good rain here, but now it's hardly enough to notice the difference between the seasons. we've had enough to get some spring grass growing but if we don't get some more very soon it'll all die off and that will be the end of the growing the season. how about in perth, what's it like there?

    central

The Perth region received quite a bit of rain this winter which brought the dam levels up to 41% capacity!

Unfortunately, the farmers in the wheatbelt haven't been so lucky and the drought continues..

The fire danger signage is already pointing at high!! It's not even hot yet!!!! Yikes!!!

The sky is blue, blue, blue and cloudless today. Not sure I'm gonna be able to get out and ride in it though.

Spring - oh I miss it....

OK so I am an Aussie living in NZ. In Sydney - spring means warmer days, getting to hot - it's all great.

In Wellington spring means rain, rain and more rain with wind so it comes in horizontal. I start joking about getting SAD (Seasonal affective disorder) and fantasinging about getting enough sun to get sunburnt. yeah i know that sunburn is all bad. The first 2 years i was here, I even went into a sunbed a couple of times to feel warm inside.

so our clocks went forward last night & I'm sitting here with the central heating on, a fleece & a thermal top. I'm seasonally confused

Wasn't it depressing yesterday......... clocks change, lot more daylight hours .......... and it was windy & wet in Auckland !!!!

i did manage a couple hours bike ride in the morning......... thankfully by the time the wind really got up ,it was behind me on the homeward stretch ~

Heater was on a last night too !

    Ahhhhh....

The sweet sound of the airconditioner humming at night... BF and I turned it on around 10pm because ti was too hot to sleep. I was going to say it's only september then looked at my watch. "Oh! It's October now!"

Looking for a max of 29C today. It was 14C last night. Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun all week.
Next sunday I'm doing the Brisbane to Gold Coast, 100km! It's going to be very hot 32 degrees and SUNNY! The minimum they're predicting is 18 degrees which is as hot as it got during the coldest days of winter.

    EEEP.

I'll be packing the sunscreen. And I'm considering taking my camelback as well as my waterbottles. It's gonna be a hell of a day!
