I agree with GLC's reply!!! I've had hard rides, but NEVER felt like "man I wish I didn't go on that ride."
Even a "bad" ride is better than no ride at all.![]()

Sometimes the beautiful weather motivates me, sometimes the thought of an organized ride coming up, sometimes my husband kicking me in the butt and getting me on the tandem, sometimes the thought of wanting to be "that girl". That girl that passes me with ease and keeps up with the boys. Sometimes it's the thought of the scenary, the exhileration of going down a hill, the thrill of trying to beat my last time or go farther than I ever have.

now here's a follow up question: what motivates you when you see the weather outside isn't good for riding (READ: raining/drizzling). it really is enticing to see the sun and feel the crisp wind when you ride on a nice, shiny weather but what if it's just uncomfortable to ride outside: wet roads, dirt on your cycling jersey, and not to mention dirty bike!!![]()
Afraid of a little dirt? You roadie!

Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.
Ummm..It's just coming out of winter down here and I spent most of that time riding in the rain, in the dark and at the end of the day cleaning a ton of sand off my bike!!! I don't care if i am wet & dirty at the end of a ride! As long as i can see & I make it home, i'm quite happy.
Just get out there and ride.
I am happy to say that I made it through what seemed like a never ending cycle of rain & wind!
I must mention i forgot to apply sunscreen today and have a sunburnt arm!!! Forecast says the sun will be away for a few days but will return on thursday!!! YAY!!!
