Speaking from experience, I know what a relief it is to turn in that PhD dissertation and be DONE with it!
(I'll also add that the title of this thread had me all a-flustered for a moment. My best friend's nick name is Badger, and she just graduated from medical school, so she's also Dr. Badger. Her housemates actually call her that.)
Congrats too on getting a job. It is very nice not living in grad student poverty anymore, especially with an expensive hobby like cycling.
The best part about going up hills is riding back down!

Thanks all for the congratulations!
Well, my stuff is all gone... the movers came today and now the apartment looks very empty (and Amie no longer has a couch! the living room consists of a coffee table, a TV stand... minus the TV, and a little end table...not so great for entertaining ) 3 more days to wrap up things at school and then I am off on vacation for 3 weeks! Yippie!
OK, now back to my nap!

I'm still working my way through my BS in Geology (at nearly 40!
). I have done all of my upper division geology classes, including field camp. I'm finally going back and doing classes like Environmental Geology and gen eds like English and History.
The amount of time it takes me to get my BS will show up on the geologic time scale!
I have been working on a project mapping local faults and trying to find out if they have Quaternary movement. (Didn't find anything that looked recent). It's been fun because no one ever proposed that they were strike slip faults and couldn't figure out why they were high angle normal over here and then high angle reverse just over there.
We found many nearly-horizontal slickensides, and a very interesting extremely low angle reverse fault, (a triangle zone?) I may have my map published before I'm done.
I'm not sure yet if I'll go to grad school, but I am getting prepared for it, taking my year of Chem, Calc and Physics each.Specialized Ruby
