hi all - this is my first post. I'm glad I found this site!
I am doing the Danskin Triathlon in Sept at Sandy Hook NJ, and I was wondering if you ladies would help me with a question or two...
I guess, the thing I wonder about the most is my glasses! Sounds dumb to even type itBut from what I gather we leave our bikes at the transition area the night before????? what do you guys who wear glasses do with them while swimming?
(I can't wear contacts)
Many thanks for your words of wisdom

I would assume you'd leave them at transition and put them on when you're getting ready to ride, that's what I do with my sunglasses.
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

I wear glasses, too. I put mine in my bike helmet and hang that from my handlebars in T1. I also make sure to have some form of leash on them (Croakie, etc.) so they don't go flying off of my face when I take the helmet off. (You may not be as much of a klutz as I am.)
I wear glasses. But am really too blind to go without them even for the swim. I wouldn't be able to site the buoys.
I went to my eye doctor and told him the problem. He did manage to fit me in some soft contacts. They are good enough to drive and ride but I can't really read or do anything close up with them.
in the past I had worn some hard contact lens but never really got good eyesight with them.
My prescription is -10 with astigmatism. We managed to do my left eye with a normal lens and the right lens is weighted (toric).
I know that you said that you can't wear contacts, but maybe you haven't completely pursued that? Sorry if there's just no way.
