    Bike seat for Dad--Prostate Issues???

    To disable ads, please log-in.

My dad is a large man, and my family is working on easing him into healthy habits. I know he would like to ride a bike, but complains that seats hurt his prostate....does anyone happen to know if there is a seat that would be more comfortable for this issue??

He was too embarrased to ask at the bike shop we just went to.

While shorts may be a consideration as well, but you might try this:

I also suspect that he is referring to a generalized pain...personally, I didn't know that prostate pain was discernible, unless it is incredibly enlarged. But I don't know this for certain.

    Wow, you were fast!!

Thanks for the info, yeah, it's not enlarged, but apparently he gets pain from it when sitting too long, I think....I don't really understand how that works, but am trying to find solutions

    Muchas Gracias!!
