wow, that sounds cools! I have actually considered and will most likely at some point buy, a Bike Friday. I'm single with no kids so I figure I will be doing lots of bike tours in the coming years... my last single friend is getting married in Oct... so I'll be looking for vacas to do solo. There are SO many bike tours I want to do... I figure why not? One that's on my list is that Covered Bridges Tour back east... and I want to do Vermont in the fall...

oh! and Costa Rica... and... and....

Did you see any of the handful of people doing the STP on Bike Fridays? It was the first time I'd seen those bikes in person...they definitely looked pretty cool.

Gorgeous!! I would like to do this ride, it looks like it is worth the effort. We want to do a lot of rides out of state, I have always considered renting a bike similar to mine (if possible).

Dex... I missed the riders on the Bike Fridays... but I rode over the bridge into Oregon with the unicycle... and saw the skateboarder a couple times. Talk about difficult! Also saw a few on single speeds... I personally like my gears

maillotpois... thanks so much! I appreciate the kudos

Aggieama... it was beautiful country to be sure... I rented a bike in Ireland for a tour I did... took my saddle and pedals... but the rides were only 35-50 miles a day. I'm not sure about renting for a 150 mile ride... I guess if you could get the correct size and take all your measurements with you it could be do-able tho... betcha someone here will know when it comes up!

Trace! I'm glad you saw this... but DUH! I forgot I emailed it to you... criminy... my age is catching up with me I only have a few more pics... didn't do much stopping since we wanted to be in before dark on day 1... weird thing up there tho... it doesn't get dark til after 9PM! Makes for less pressure when you're riding distance to be sure... I was told in the winter the opposite is the case... dark at 8AM and dark again at 4PM. That would be tough to get used to... sure did like the daylight tho!
