Knott. Nice photo. You could sell it to Brooks to use in an ad!
Uneventful 43 miles. Beautiful sunrise, low humidity, started out with the bright full moon. Nice and chilly, in the mid-60s. Wore my beautiful new Velo Girls Jersey (thanks, Lorri---I love it!) and rode my beautiful Eclipse.
Saturday's ride was interesting. There was a big wreck on Rte. 66, which abuts the trial I ride. Over the jersey wall, flashing lights of fire trucks & police cars. The wreck happened right before I passed by the first time--it was still dark out--the lights of the emergency vehicles made things seem surreal. Then, later, I saw a dead bird in the trail. No visible wounds. Lastly, spotted a "road taco" was on the trail (i.e. dirty disposable diaper).

The total ride was around 24-25 miles and we climbed some additional hills to and from the canyon. I don't have specifics because my bike computer tried to leap to its death during last weekend's ride with BikerHen on the Centennial Trail and I haven't gotten around to getting it fixed yet. High temps today will near 100, so we got out early. I definitely had to go to my happy place during parts of the climb. I told myself that I could stop and rest at any time, but I didn't stop until we reached the top -- somewhere around 7750' in altitude.
