Question Looking for Red Ribbon socks

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I am heavily involved with a very small, local HIV/AIDS service program. In August we're having our annual awareness/fundraising walk. I've been looking for socks (walking or cycling) with the red ribbon on it and have come up empty. I'm hoping that someone on the board might have a lead as to where I may find them. Thanks.

This is all I found. I had hoped to find more, but no such luck! Maybe you could have Sock Guy make some for you? www.sockguy.com

Their custom orders turn out pretty nicely (I've seen a few here and there) http://www.sockguy.com/socks_custom.html

Also, they might have some backstock with red ribbons or know if any organization has had any made, so it could be worth contacting them.

Wow! Thanks for the quick reply (I knew I could count on someone from TE having a solution! ) I've sent Sock Guy a message and have forwarded the links to other members of our walk planning team. I think it would be super cool to wear something that supports our cause.

I checked my collection of AIDS Lifecycle gear; shirts, jerseys, fuzzy jacket, hats .... their logo does not have the red ribbon on it. It's a white ribbon against a light blue background and says "AIDS Lifecycle ride".

They don't have an online store either. The gear is sold at events or on the ride only.

Riders often get creative using red ribbons to cover helmets, camelbacks, sometimes even a whole bike You could make red ribbons and ask sponsors to sign one or send one in if they want a dedication for example a loved ones name that you walk with.

Thanks for doing the walk! Pictures, we want pictures!

Wouldn't a real red ribbon pinned to white socks be dramatic?

    Nancielle,

I think I have a few ALC temp tattoos left from last year. They are not red either, they are plain black ink. PM me if you want 'em for your team.

I'd just like to thank everyone for their suggestions and support. I'm meeting with some of my walk people tomorrow (Friday) after work and we'll talk about the ideas that came up here. I knew I could count on TE
