2007 MS 150 Tour de Vine

Hi everyone. Last weekend I rode in my local MS 150 ride (Tour de Vine, Charlottesville, VA). This is the first one I have participated in and I will have to say it was an amazing experience. Our local cycling group formed a small team (MadCyclists - 8 members) & rode for one member's mom who has MS. She was at the finish yesterday to cheer us across.

I have participated in lots of organized rides and I will have to say that this is one of the best supported, most fun rides I have ever done. We rode just over 72 hilly miles on Saturday (temp. 90F & humid) & 79 somewhat less hilly (if you can call Carter's Mountain "less hilly") miles yesterday (temp. 83F & low humidity - beautiful!). The routes went by lots of local vinyards and beautiful horse farms. Lots of good beverages, food and live music on Saturday night. I can't wait to do it again next year!

Attached photos are of one of the rest stops & our team at the finish.
