    Talking any duathletes out there?

I'm new to this post and have just been reading alot. I'm doing duathlons this year and have not read about anyone who does them. Anybody out there? I have no desire ever to do a triathlon do to swimming and seeing jaws one to many times. Would love to hear from some experienced duathloners.

There are some of us that do du's and tri's on the the triathlon board (down a little on the main page). Swing by there every now and then for some du talk. I like du's, but prefer tri's (I'd rather get all the running over with at once instead of splitting it up ). I did one a couple weeks ago as a team with my DH- a Formula 1 type- and it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, there are more du's around here during the summer than tris, so sometimes I do one just because it's handy (well, and fun, too).
What's your favorite race you've done??

    trigirl

I can't answer that question since I have never done one. My first is in July in Portland Oregon and then I will do a local followed by one in September in Washington. They are sprints because I have a background in track and sprint distance. Short, fast and sweet for me. I am crossing over from one sport to another. I love all sports and cross train in everything (except swimming.)

Woohoo- you'll have to tell us all about it when you finish your first one in July!!! I'm the opposite. I like long distances, because while I have endurance to take me for hours and hours, speed is something my body simply refuses to do.
Do you have a local tri club in your area? Most tri clubs (in our region anyway) are really multi-sport clubs who are a great wealth of information and support for us multi-sporters (be it du's or tri's).
    Best of luck in July!
