can anyone recommend a light, cheap, stuff-in-the -seat- bag type of rain jacket for summer? I got one from Performance for ten dollars that could work in a pinch but it's ha-yoooge!

Check TE's sales for jackets. The 2006 PI Whisper jacket is really peachy. I have the vest and love it. Depends on how much waterproofness you need, though.

The jackets that are REALLY lightweight and seat-bag-stuffable are usually more like windbreakers. They might work well for light rain though. Try looking at the "Whisper Jacket" on TE. I find Gor-tex jackets to be too sweaty and non-breathable, though they certainly do keep the rain out. If you have a small seat bag you might have to stick to water-resistant windbreakers that roll up real small.
Mimi has a great rain jacket....Mimi?

That's real purty but I'm currently unemployed. Guess I'll stick with my Hefty bag for now
