    Whistlestop duathlon

So I competed in a duathlon this weekend, one of the many races with less than ideal weather conditions (<40F, misting rain, and 20mph+ winds). Even with these conditions the race went pretty well, and I can see where I have improved from last year. I normally type up a big long RR here, but I'll just post a link to a RR on the site that I do my training logs. Here's hoping the link works!

I also posted this in the tri forum, but if most are like me, I rarely go through all the areas, so sorry for the double post!

Great pictures. I like this one:

    And the finish line:

It looks COLD! The look on your face in the bike shots definitely says less than ideal conditions.

Congratulations on your great finish, AND improvement from last year!

Is that you in the Avatar? Looks like you have a quarter horse! I used to ride horses and sure do miss it. Congrats on your race too!!!

Colby - I agree that my face probably tells the story of the weather - the ones on the bike aren't helped by the photographer being at the top of a hill! (that first photo you put there is one of my favorites also).

Mukluk - that is me in the avatar - on my old horse, that I unfortunately had to sell. He's still my baby, though!
