Congratulations KSH. We'll be excited to hear about the suit when it arrives.
I have a Saucony transition bag and I love it. It's great for hauling stuff to work for my workouts during the day and is really helpful on race day.

After a good 2 months I finally made a decision on a wetsuit. Honestly, the whole process was overwhelming. I just figured that if I went for a suit in the $400 range, I couldn't go too wrong.
On www.trisports.com they had a closeout on 2XU wetsuits. I have heard it's a good brand and my cousin likes his.
They had the 2006 Elite marked down from $475 to $333.
I discussed the wetsuit in comparison to the Blue Seventy Helix suit... and she said that since there was a $200 difference (Helix being $520) I should start with the 2XU, and if that doesn't fit right, check out the Helix. I agreed.
I also bought a TYR Transition backpack. I swore I would never spend more than $20 on a "workout bag", but I figure with the wetsuit and all... it was time to upgrade. It was marked down from $65 to $50.
Finally... I got free ground shipping and my goodies should arrive in about 5 days.

We need to do a wetsuit picture gallery. I will wrestle mine on and snap away if everybody else will too.

I'm not taking any pictures of myself with my wetsuit on until I can stand outside next to a body of water that I am about to swim in. Therefore, my picture will not go up for a coupla months. But I will post when the time comes.

I purchased a 2XU wetsuit while living in Oz last year. It has been a great wetsuit; no complaints. I haven't used any other brands for comparison, but so far I like the 2XU brand. They are much more popular in Oz, since I think that is where the company started. Let us know how you like it after your first race in it.
Well, I got my wetsuit on Saturday.
I tried to get it on.. but it was TOO SMALL! I somehow got my big 'ol butt into it... but it was PAINFUL!
Yep, time for an exchange.

CRAP!![]()
Tri Sports doesn't have the size up in the 2XU Elite. It was such a great deal! It doesn't look like any of their other wetsuits that are marked down are in my size either. This sucks.
Well, the Blue Seventy Helix is calling my name. Although, it's about $200 more. Do I have the money? Of course not. But I'm being very picky about my wetsuit.

I know you're looking at the Helix which is a nicer suit, but someone in my cycling club is selling a Reaction, here is the description:
"Any triathletes (or friends of...) in the market for a wetsuit?
This is a brand new suit (worn once), still in box! Immaculate.
Size: WMS, fits height 5'0"-5'5", approximate weight 117-132 (medium/small), full length
Retailed for $250 (+ tax). Last year's model.
Asking $175 (with mesh drying bag)
call or e-mail me if interested! "
If you're interested let me know and I can get you the contact info, would have to be shipped from CO.
The best part about going up hills is riding back down!
Thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it.
Unfortunately, because I bought the wetsuit on closeout, I don't get my money back... instead I get a credit. So, I have to basically purchase another model wetsuit from them.
I'm now looking at the Quintana Roo Superfull Triathlon Wetsuit. It's about $30 more than the 2XU Elite I purchased. If that doesn't fit... I go on to try the Blue Seventy Helix.

That must be frustrating you can't just get a refund. I hope the next one fits. Good luck!

Sorry it didn't fit, K. I was scared, too, about ordering for a web site because of fit issues. Luckily, I found a tri store nearby that had oodles of wetsuits for me to try on. The sales guy even told me to run around the store with them on to test 'em.
Yes, I did run around the store.
Yes, I did it while waving my arms around in a swimming motion.
Yes, I did feel like an @ss.
But I found one that fit!![]()
I am so sorry it does not fit. That stinks. I hate when I am waiting for something and when it finally arrives it does not fit.
My DH ordered mine off of ebay, so talk about a gamble...luckily for me it did fit, but I was really nervous.
I hope you get it sorted out.
Oh man!!! Sorry it didn't fit- that really bites!
I have a QR (an oldie but a goodie that I got off e-Bay) and I love, love, love it. Try it and see if you like it- and then go for the $200 more one.![]()
