    Freewheel Cycle maintenance classes

So today I went to this and it was pretty cool.

It was all hands on stuff you do on your own bike (except they forgot to call me to tell me to bring my bike so I had to use the teachers).

    Today I learned about/got to:

learn how to repair a flat
    adjust brakes
rebuild a hub (he just demonstrated)
    true wheels

Next week, we're doing drivetrain stuff.

So I got all dirty and have grime under my fingernails )

Anyway, thought I'd post if anyone else is interested. Cost $100 and it's 2 Sundays for 4 hrs each.

Small class (only about 6 of us). Wayne's a really nice guy and they're thinking they'll do this once a month.

From the title I thought you were learning how to maintain freewheels. You don't want to take one of those things apart - about 50 tiny ball bearings and a few pawls. Glad you had fun. Gotta love grime under the fingernails.
Oil is good, grease is better.
