Two steps forward, one step back!
I took all my "nice" new components (seat, pedals, computer) off the Kona Commutermobile when I got Flossie The Road Bike. I put 'em on Flossie. Haven't ridden the Commutermobile since.
Just now I put the old stuff (original components) back on the Kona. Flat pedals. Serfas seat with cut-out.
Ewww. The Kona isn't quite as comfy without my Brooks and my Speedplays. And without the computer I won't know exactly how far I've gone. (but I can guess)
It's a very weird feeling...

Someday... Kona XtraCycle Commutermobile! (with Brooks saddle, cuz that Serfas Niva is an unhappy blip on my event horizon)

I want to be able to haul a full-sized bag of dog food. That's kind of my gold standard. On the Kona now I can just about manage two tiny bags (one in each pannier) but that's inefficient. I also like the idea of taking all my camping gear without needing bags all over the bike or pulling a trailer.
And, of course, there's the margarita blender option...
Do you even need a back fender on your bike? Looks like the platform covers the whole back wheel, plus it's farther away from you than the usual bike tire, so it looks like you don't get sprayed. With the Northwest dampitude, I think about fenders a lot. (almost as much as Mimitabby does)
