    Half Marathon Pix!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Here are the Bright room shots, and I'll have more from after the race when I get my film developed. I'm in the white shirt, Jamie's in the red. The last picture is me sprinting for the finish line, at which moment I clearly did leave Jamie behind! I ran in the compression tri shorts that I bought for the tri in August. They felt so much better than regular running shorts. I also wore my Enell bra, the first time I've worn it for racing. It was perfect. No chest soreness afterwards. I'd ordered it for the marathon last year, but it didn't arrive in time. I think I'm even going to try wearing it for a tri next year!

You look great finding the power to kick at the end! And, look at that body! You deserve an aero top for your tri's.

The bra is called "Enell"--they have their own web site. Title 9 also sells them. I think they call them "the bra of last resort". It's like a vest that has about 15 hooks up the front. I've found that both sizes 1 & 2 fit my breasts well, but even size 2 is too tight around my rib cage. I bought one of those little bra extenders at the fabric store for the bottom two hooks. I have to put plenty of Body Glide under the bottom band, right in the front, or it does chafe me. Other than that, it's wonderful. Completely holds my breasts against my chest. I usually have sore, sore pecs after running > about 5 miles, but not with the Enell.

Ooh! Ooh! I meant to tell you I went out and got an aero top after you gently chastised me, SK!!! I wanted to wear the shirt with my dad's picture for this race, but next tri it will either be trisuit or aero top + tri shorts, all the way! Thanks again.

    Back to work! L.

I loved the shirt with your dad's picture. I think MP is putting my dad's name on something she has going for her marathon. I just think that's tres cool.

PS - TE also has the Enell bra.

Thank you, MP. That is, of course, the highest compliment you could pay me.

SK, I'm looking forward to seeing MP's shirt! And thanks for finding the Enell bra on TE. I don't think I even looked there. I got my first one from Enell--it took *20*, count 'em, *20* weeks for them to process my order, since Oprah had just promoted them, and they were swamped. That's why I didn't get it in time for the marathon. I hadn't found this board yet, and it didn't occur to me to just cancel my order and look elsewhere!
