    FINALLY some progress....

It's been 3 months since my bike accident, and it wasn't a bad one but left me with an annoying hand injury that's kept me off my bike

I've been to 2 different orthopedic surgeons, tried PT for 3 weeks with u/s, and had a corizone shot, all with no progress. It's all actually kept my hand swollen.

I got to a point where I could NOT stand another minute. I was in pain all the time and my entire arm was swollen. I went to my chiropractor last night. He adjusted C6 (way out of alignment), my elbow, wrist, thumb and finger. Two hours later my swelling was about half. Today- I can make a fist! This is the best progress I have had in 3 months!! It's not completely better by any stretch but I know the hand can't heal if the swelling doesn't go away.

Just thought I'd share with you. This chiro is phenominal but is a 45 minute drive away from me these days. It's hard to get to him but I will definitely make sure I do. Guess I should have tried him months ago!!

Now, maybe I can ride my bike before the snow flys - it was in the 40's last night

Dar - fantastic news! I'm really glad you are finally seeing some progress.

No kidding about it being a long drive, but hey, like you said, now you can make a fist - I'd say it is well worth it.

I was hit by a car in July so you have my personal empathy

I hope you continue to get better and recover.

I'm so glad to hear that you're getting better. I was hit by a truck in early May, so I totally understand. It is so completely frustrating to be lying on the couch watching the summer go by.

Take really good care of yourself and I hope you're back to 100% soon.

p.s. Can you ride on a trainer? You should be able to do that without having to hold the handle bars ...

Woooowooooo. That's wonderful news. Like being born again, isn't it?

I had good luck with a chiropractor. And like you, I was in pain for about 6 weeks till someone suggested I go. Couldn't believe the difference he made in two visits. When it works, it works well.
