Sept 1 Rides
Gee, September already! My usual morning commute had a few odd twists. A deer crossed the road in front of me in Lincoln. I didn't get a good look, but the white tail gave it away. Shortly after that I inhaled a bug and hacked and spit for the next 10 minutes. Ick! When I stopped to shed the arm and knee warmers, I happened to step in sand, and then my right cleat had trouble releasing. After the 2nd stop with a sticky cleat, I took off the shoe and banged it on the curb a few times, and that fixed it. And I didn't even miss the light. Last time this happened (a couple months ago) was in a rainstorm, and splashing in a puddle didn't help much.
Oil is good, grease is better.
