My head won't fit through the door

Life is good! I recently met my milage goal for the year (it is now revised) and was very happy with that. But I haven't really felt like I've been improving. I want to get my avg speed up to 15 mph but seem to be stuck in the upper 14 range. Some guys have been tagging along on my rides the last few weeks and awhile back I kind of complained to one that I don't feel like I've been improving. Well, during yesterday's ride he said he could tell that I've been improving. I appreciated the compliment but didn't really think I had. Anyhow, when I got home I started logging all the data from my bike computer into my log. Avg. speed was 15.3! Boy was I pleased! Now I'm afraid my big head won't fit through the door. I'm sure I'll get smoked on a hill soon and it will return to normal. No need to panic just yet.

Hey, I personally think that when we reach goals, make improvements and help others ast hey have helped us, then we deserve to have a big head for a while.

    Way to Go!!!! Congratulations.

Now, if we get together and ride, are you going to take off and leave me eating your dust? LOL

Thanks, it just made me feel good to have a guy say I was improving... sometimes it's so hard to keep up with them. No, I have a no dust eating rule! Besides, I may be the one getting left in the dust. Hope we can work out a ride together sometime. I'll be out of town the end of this week but maybe after I get back...

I'd say you've earned your big head, improvement is improvement right?

Still, we being your friends and peers on this forum want to make sure you have the proper head gear, plus protection from the sun with that new big head of yours:

sounds to me like the problem isn't that your head is too big, the problem is the door is too small! So I'm thinking ya'll just need to make the Door bigger!!!

Congrats on having to expand your goal!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
