You did ride today though, right?
I'm about to head out myself; I'm ignoring our 95 degree temperature, with a heat index of 102.
I have a feeling it will be a wet repeat of my ride yesterday. As soon as I stopped pedaling, the sweat just started pouring off of me! Here's a view of my very sweaty face after yesterday's ride - http://denise.smugmug.com/photos/85415154-M-1.jpg

Oh, come on, Surly, we wouldn't be New Englanders without complaining about the weather. Actually it feels slightly like AZ out there now. I think the humidity must have gone down a bit.
But, I rode at 6 AM because I have had enough of this. I am off to Quebec City, where it will be 75 and sunny for the next 2 weeks!

Why do you have to stop riding for sweat to pour? I sweat while I'm riding!
“Hey, clearly failure doesn’t deter me!”
The great thing was how cool I felt (momentarily) when I started riding again after stopping to pee yesterday. It was about 95, I was 15 miles into a 35 mile ride, and drenched in sweat. I guess I cooled off enough to feel the wind as a nice thing on my soaking wet body! For about...2 minutes.Originally Posted by pooks
They say it'll be 20 degrees cooler tomorrow. Hang in there, points east, the cool is coming.

Maybe I should get into S & M, because I had begun to develop a fondness for riding in the heart of the mid-day heat - and always hills too.
I used to avoid that time like the plague, but then maybe I'm just getting old and lazy - unwilling to get up at the crack of dawn to ride at 7 am![]()
Amazing - it's 93 in the desert with a heat index of 95. And I'm saying "No way!" The humidity is 37 percent out there!Originally Posted by DeniseGoldberg
