How can you tell if Cycling Shorts fit correctly?
I have also read that you should wear cycling shorts for a couple of hours before your first ride to get use to them. Is this correct?

I have read--and it seems to be true, at least for me--that you should get the smallest size shorts you can squeeze your patootie into. The reason is that extra fabric can snag on things like the nose of the saddle, causing some very ungraceful and maybe even painful dismounts. For this reason, I generally find myself wearing a size smaller in bike shorts than in any other shorts. YMMV.
I never heard that you should wear new shorts around for a while before riding in them, though if it's your first time in your life wearing bike shorts, I guess you might want to get the feel of them before hitting the road.

Anyway, I managed to get them snagged on the nose of the saddle like for or five times during my ride, which made clipping in on uphill sections even more fun and challenging!

That doesn't make any sense to me. The chamois is designed to be comfortable when you are sitting on a bicycle seat, not a normal chair...Originally Posted by cycling96

I am new to shorts, but from my experience, I just put them on and went straight out biking. They are wickedly comfortable.
