Champion Master's Women at Seven Springs July 2006--WOW!~!!!!

WOW I went with my S.O. to Seven Springs to support him in his 60+ Master's National Championship road race, but the women 50-70 who raced later absolutely blew me away. The course was BRUTAL, I heard, and the sun was at its zenith. These AMAZING women, all 50 yo and older, toughed it out, all 26 miles of it, over what I heard were nasty descents and difficult climbs. It was so thrilling for me to see what women my age can REALLY do. THANK YOU, you WONDER WOMEN who rode that race. You are my new heroines! I have ridden in that area quite a bit with jjfox and HillsRmyFriends at www.bikejournal.com and can attest to the riding being undoubtedly brutal. Wish I could have watched it with jjfox but it didn't work out this year. It would have been something to see.
