My companion and I did a 6 day tour in and around Smith Falls Ontario--bicycle camping. A few adventures--a few errors that were not critical--lots of great fun and laughter--and the Next time we go out into the woods--definitely bringing Better mosquito repellant!

We went through Merrickville, Ontario and that area twice by bike. First time was in 1994. I loved the area for its rolling hills, historic grey fieldstone buildings. (Vancouver doesn't have historic buildings constructed in the same way as Southeastern Ontario..and Quebec.) I think we swung back to Kingston.
2nd time was when we were cycling to (or from the Ottawa area).
Autumn is very beautiful in the Merrickville area also.
And for 1 of these Merrickville cycling trip memories..after stopping and having a snack somewhere rural, I remounted on the bike and cycled along for 30 kms. And looked back on top of my bike rack...my wallet was balanced on top of the bike rack. It had NOT fallen off onto the road when I was cycling.
