    Need Good Vibes!

Tomorrow at 8 am I interview for a job I really really want. As an added bonus, I can easily do the 5 mile bike commute on not too busy roads. I will not be commuting to the interview, just to the job if I get it Ladies, cross your fingers!!!!

Go for it! Go in there and tell them why this job is right for you and you are right for the job!
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

Thanks for the vibes. I did not get the job. they said they really liked me though and would keep my resume incase another opening came up. Do they all say that? The last one did too. School jobs in Michigan are just a torture to obtain!!!

So sorry, Barb! And no, I don't think they ALL say that. But since they did say it, I'd call them back every so often, or send a note reminding them that you're still interested and would like to hear from them if they have an opening. I got a job I wanted that way--by being the squeaky wheel for about 6 months.

Sorry about that Barb, it is never fun to hear that they hired someone else for a position that you want. Keep your spirits positive and don't give up hope. The right position is out there waiting for you and you'll be relaxed and happy when the fit is good.

    Hey, Barb

Just read the thread....sorry I wasn't around to send positive vibes your way at the right time...and I'm sorry for you disappointment....

I recently went through the whole job interview process and it's true what they say. Things happen for a reason. I think I interviewed for 8 positions at our corporate office, and I ended up with the very best of al of them. I LOVE my new job. I started in mid-feb (I started applying back in July!!), and only this week we are finally moving into our new house after DH and the pets have been living in our old home town and I've been staying with friends in our new home town since then!!

We had another case of it all happens for a reason with the whole house sale - we had the house sold and another bought - keep in mind the sale is in a slow market and the purchase is in a smoking hot market - back in March. The sale fell through so we had to let the purchase drop too. We were heartbroken. 6 weeks later, after DH had done a whack more work on the sale house, we sold it through real estate and netted several thousand more.....and the house we had tried to buy was still available because the couple who owned it were fighting so bad, so we got the same house....severl thousand less!

The right thing will happen for you at the right time Barb! Just think on whatever you learn and feel throughout the process and be guided by your heart!

    Namaste,
    ~T~

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I know what you mean about the houses. I bought a new house and still have my old one. I am trying to lease it out becuase the market is so darn slow. There are aobut 5 houses on my street for sale right now. They all look JUST like mine.

I applied for 3 more jobs and tonight I can send out 2 more resumes to another district. Michigan is a sink hole right now economically. I can't leave though. Too much family and other loves!
