    A Neat Surprise

When we got home yesterday I had a package waiting for me. I wasn't expecting anything, didn't recognize the return address. It was from a place a Maine, so I figure it's from Thom's folks.

Get the package open and discover a plaque commemorating my first double. How cool is that?! I'll have to see if I can get a picture of it and post it.

That's awesome! Please post a pic. The double was definitely plaque-worthy!

Did your evil coach have anything to do with it? That's pretty special!

I still have the medal from and shoes I wore in the first marathon I ran. I always intended to do something neato with them but never got around to it.

He seemed surprised too. So I don't think he knew.

Can you get the shoes bronzed? That would be cool! Thom and I love your new place BTW. It seems like it was meant for the two of you.

That was super nice! What a great memento. (sp? The English major is not sure if that was spelled right.)

Anyway, you can hang it up with your number also. (Assuming you still have your number - mine pretty well disintegrated!)

Remember the movie "Memento"? I never saw it in the theaters, because I'd call "MovieFone" and misspell it every time (I spelled it "Momento"). Figured this out when I finally rented it at Blockbuster. Who knew?
