    Go Denise!!

Today is Denise's Ironman! Just wanted to send her wishes and good karma. I will be wearing your lovely BE IRON bracelet today. Please, once the lactic acid dissipates, give us all a race report.

I've worn my Be Iron bracelet since the day I got it. Yesterday, people in my bike group were asking about it, so now they are all sending positive energy to Denise, too! I wonder if she has one, or more, and what they say.

Nothing on the Ironmam Live site yet. I wish I had known you could sign up to track your athlete by cell phone, for free. (Registration is closed for that now.)

I have a friend from Flordia there, too. Her name is Sue and she is number 2244. Denise is 794. Two other friends of mine dropped out. :-(

I'm glad we have an IM race here, Ironman Panama City. It is _so_ cool to spectate, and so emotional. I wish I could be there, though, to see Denise and Sue in person.

If this doesn't work, go to the Ironman Live site

    http://www.ironmanlive.com/events/ironman/arizona

and on the left there is a column with Ford Ironman Course Explorer listed at the top. It's Paula Newby Frasier and Heather Fuhr. You get to see exactly where Denise will be racing.

    Lise

Live coverage starts at 6AM her time, 8AM your time, 9AM my time. Is that right??? I get all confused because they aren't on DST. I think that's right, she's on MST, which is two hours behind EST, but we sprang forward, so now it's a three hour difference.

Did you watch all the athlete interviews? It was so cool, at IM Florida (or I guess they call it IM Panama City) there was this forum with three pros, about what they ate, their transitions, race strategies- it was so cool. And I got to see Natasha Badman win at the Florida Half IM last spring- that was so exciting!

Aaaahhhh, that explains it. It won't start for 45 min, when I'll be helping a friend move. I'll tune in when I get home. I get confused about the times, but your read of it is correct (I think--but look who you're asking!).

I am looking forward to reading/watching the athlete interviews. I find their stragtegies fascinating.

There's an ironman race in Panama City? When? Where? Could you give me some details, Nanci? I'm over near Pensacola and would love to come over to watch the Panama City ironman race!

Isn't Denise's number 794? When I put that into "Track Athlete", it comes up as somebody else. Has anyone else tried it?

It won't let me enter anything. It says "come back at 10am EST", which doesn't make sense, since It's after 11am EST now.
