Hi everyone! I am going to start doing triathlons. I don't have $1000 to spend on a bike. I recently came across Fuji bikes. Does anyone know if these bikes are pretty good?
Thanks!

I think they're probably pretty good. My husband got one from Perfomance to use as his commuter bike, and got a good deal. He likes it alot. His other bike is a Colnago, so he's pretty fussy. Key is to make sure it FITS.

The bikes I've seen lately from Fuji look great.

Hi Islandgirl, I bought my Fuji Finest last year and absolutely love it (and biking). There was one bike grade above the finest, can't remember off hand what it is, but am wishing I purchased that instead. I wasn't sure how would I like a road bike and would I really use it. I didn't realize that biking would become an addiction. I thought about trading my bike towards the next bike up last year but didn't because I didn't like the color that they offered. I do see however this year that they have a couple new lines of bikes and some new Finest lines of bikes. My friend from work purchased a WSD Fuji Finest last year and she loves her bike and doesn't have any intentions of trading it, maybe making some upgrades but that's it. WOuld I purchase another FUji bike? Absolutely! Good luck and enjoy riding no matter what type of bike you purchase ....shelly
Thanks so much for all of your advice. I'm going to go test ride a couple of them!
I think the bike Shelleyj was interested in is called the Newest, which is one step above the Finest. I love love love my Fuji (04 Newest WSD). I got it on clearance because it was an 04 and the 06s were just starting to come in, only $500! All Tiagra components, which I upgraded to 105. Not because anything was wrong with them, just cause I felt like it.
Fuji makes great bikes, and they're a lot of bike for the buck as they are a relatively unknown company. Let us know what you decide and if you have any questions!
I have an 05' Provence for an entry level racer it is super. Fits me to a tee, is relatively light and didn't break the bank. The closest one this year is the Finest 1.0 - one nice change they've made - it comes with a compact double this year rather than a triple. I'm thinking of upgrading now that there is a carbon (drool - drool) bike made in my size, but I must say I have been very happy with my Fuji and even if I do get another bike I will probably continue to race it in anything that has the possiblity of being rough and tumble.

My husband and I both bought Fujis last year and are in love with them. It's not too heavy, rides smoothly, and we love the paint! We feel like we got great bikes for the money, and would definitely buy Fujis again.
