    So Tired....

I knew this weekend would be a quiet one, riding-wise. It's my daughter's 10th birthday tomorrow, and we did a whole skating party thing yesterday, etc. It was basically her weekend.

What I did NOT count on was being up ALL night with Em as she finally succumbed to the horrible stomach flu that's been going around school. Poor thing - I felt so sad for her. She had her twin cousins over for a sleep over, and she ends up in our bathroom all night throwing up. Part of the night I was on the floor with the dog while she was in my bed with DH. The dog liked that.

(And of course I'm sure hoping the cousins don't get it - and there's part of me that's also terrified that maybe I get it right before or during the Solvang double.)

Anyway, she had a very quiet day and is having some soup now and she will probably stay home (thank heaven for grandma) tomorrow. I did an easy 50 mile loop, during which I felt kind of nauseated, but its probably in my head!! Anyway, we all hope to get a lot more sleep tonight.

Not exactly a training update, but more of a "I didn't train this weekend" update! Oh well.

I had 4 - 6 students out every day this past week. I'm praying I don't get whatever they all had. Fifth graders are so gross. They sneeze into their sleeves.

Hope you have a restful week.

You teachers must just mainline antioxidants, bioflavonoids and echinacea!

Let's think healthy and restful thoughts for the week!

I think I work out too much to get sick. I have no scientific data to prove this of course. But I think working out scares germs away. My body is not a hospitable place I guess.

Ah, the luxury of being childless and having no local friends with children. I can become a cranky old lady in good health.

Ok, that didn't express my sympathy even though I am. Everyone with children (including teachers) gets my sympathy.

No veronica... You just have built up immunity.. Kinda like when we travel south of the border and instantly get the trots from water that the locals drink everyday w/ no problem... teachers by nature have immune systems of STEEL!

I had the same kind of weekend. My youngest came from home from school on Thursday and then puked every 30 minutes until 2:30am. Then my other two got it at the same time. Can you tell what my weekend was like.

I have been saying this for years and my husband and other don't believe me. I know since I have been cycling on a regular basis, barely get sick and I say that maybe it is because I am sweating the germs out of me or something. Now since I am just typing this and not saying it out loud, I hope I did not just jinx myself.
