    Hottt!

Everytime I ride 8 miles and over I sweat for hours after. Does this happen to anyone else?

Me! And I find it even hard during the night too....but not for 8 miles as I am used to longer ones...but those that are longer and during very hot and sticky days...even the pool dipping does not help much when I'm out after for a while.

I guess for weight loss it's a good thing as long as your hydrated. I rode 10 miles this morning with half of it being a slight uphill. I was still sweating for lunch lol.

This time of year in NC - yup. At least an hour. I usually try to eat/cool down before I shower - otherwise, I keep sweating.

Yep. Drinking crushed ice is a quick way to get your core temperature down low enough that there's a point to taking a shower. Of course if I haven't left myself time to cool down naturally, most likely I haven't left myself time to crush ice, either, so I still wind up drenched.

I also wait a while before showering, usually also wait to cool down before changing into clean clothes and starting my drive home. I find that ice or a cold drink placed in my jersey pocket helps cool me down, as does ice or a cooling towel at the back of my neck.
