    Happy New Year!

Wishing all here a wonderful New Years holiday AND a great start to 2015!

I don't go out on this holiday, just too many drunks out there. Years ago I was a taxi driver and while I always made a ton of money on New Year's Eve, I've not gone out on this night since my taxi-driving years ended. Instead I slept late (very late for me). I've my current books waiting for my attention, and at some point I will turn the TV on and watch the ball drop if I can stay up that late Also at some point a nice mug of hot buttered rum will be prepared. Some years I go to a friends house, but this year will be a quiet celebration at home.

Happy New Year, TE. I'm working tonight & tomorrow night so no wild partying. Just hoping kids stay at home instead of visiting me in the ER.

    Happy New Year, all.

I wound up staying up, not that I could've slept through the fireworks anyway, but I agree, Catrin, I'm past the age where staying up is overrated. It's not like staying up to watch the end of a football game - I know how it's going to turn out!

    Happy New Year, everyone!
Had a lovely dinner at a local restaurant and was in my bed by 10:30.

    Happy New Year!!

We took a long walk yesterday and then had take-out sushi from a favorite local place, and were in bed by 11. Up bright and early this morning to greet the New Year!

I DID stay up until midnight - however by 11:00 I had grabbed my tablet and went to bed to read for an hour. There is something deliciously decadent about reading in bed for some reason - though my neck won't allow me to do it often. My only indulgence for the evening was one mug of hot buttered rum, and I toasted a small amount of coconut flakes to mix into a tablespoon of my favorite trail mix from Whole Foods. Very dense in calories and quite yummy. This morning I rose shortly after 8 which was a bit shocking for me - I NEVER sleep that late, but then again, I only slept for 8 hours.

I am still off work until Monday, but as I've early morning things the next three days, it is time to remember how to set my two alarm clocks. Yes, two - I love the snooze button a little too much

After I watch the parade today I am planning on a kettlebell swing workout at home after doing a mobility session. I COULD go to the gym, but I will be there tomorrow. I want to play with my own herd today.
