Just did 12 km. bike ride to a bakery and back. That was enough since I don't have tire studs yet. Haven't been on bike for nearly last 10 days after our snowstorm. The Parks dept. does a good job of snowclearing paths when snow falls. So that's why it looks relatively clear + dry prairie air sucks up more moisture. However that's not entirely true for the roads and areas where there was no snow sweeping/ploughing. In this area they use big snow brushes when it's only light snow. Ploughs are used for deeper/stickier stuff. I had never seen motorized snow brushes in Vancouver nor Toronto until I moved to the prairies.
Time for house cleaning. I will go back out this evening but in a different direction and walk instead.
