This is the Lakeview Trail out at Contra Loma Regional Park.

Descending from the Overlook


Cross the ridge in front of me and you're in Black Diamond Regional Park. This baked, lumpy, cracked soil is like riding a rock garden.


One of the few not fire road trails - loose black, lumpy soil that the bike handled REALLY well.

It was hot - 88 degrees or so and as you can see, almost no shade. A good ride though, we hadn't ridden the Lakview Trail before - some steep climbing and really lumpy descents. The view from the Overlook was nice, but the last pitch up it was nasty.

That is indeed a pretty sweet bike - looks like an awesome trail as well.

I will make sure to recommend this trail to friends who mountain bike as well

I feel that way about my FS bike (and mine is nowhere near as nice as yours). It just makes me happy event just to look at it, in a slightly different way than my road bikes.
