The Hovenring is a good example of why a lot of the best biking cities are in Europe. It’s also consistent with what the Netherlands has done with their bike infrastructure and how they value it. Hopefully more of that value will be seen in the U.S.
The Rijksmuseum path was closed a decade ago for the remolding of the museum. That it’s still a bike path and was reopened speaks to the power of the bike lobby/riders in Amsterdam, especially with the powerful opposition that they needed to overcome. Good on them!! Sounds like a great path with views into a great Dutch museum! Wonder if you can see Rembrandt's The Night Watch from the path.
